Apple Wins HTC Lawsuit Over Data Detector Technology

The International Trade Commission (ITC) ruled in favor of Apple in the pending lawsuit with HTC. The case was related to Apple’s data detector (which allows the iPhone to find things like phone numbers inside other documents) technology and HTC’s alleged infringement on Apple’s intellectual property. HTC will have to remove this technology from their phones by April 2012. This is a victory for Apple, but honestly… will probably have little impact on either company.
