Korean electronic firm LG gave the world a sneak peek of one of the televisions they will exhibit at the 2012 Consumer Electronics Show (CES), which starts in 11 days. The new 3D-capable TV measures 84″ diagonally and sports a staggering resolution of 3,840×2,160 pixels. To put that in perspective, it is approximately 4 times the number of pixels used by current 1080p systems. Wow! It will feature LG’s Smart-TV technology (essentially an integrated set top box), but also includes a new feature… voice controlled remote control. Details are still a little fuzzy, but it appears that the remote includes a microphone which can respond to spoken commands and adjust things, like volume, accordingly. The retail price of this unit has not yet been released. I’m guessing it won’t be cheap.
