NASA’s most traveled space shuttle, Discovery, is flying again… well… sort of. It’s being transported to it’s final home on the back of NASA’s shuttle carrier, a modified 747. Discovery, which made it’s last space flight last year, will become a permanent fixture at the Smithsonian National Air and Space Museum’s Udvar-Hazy Center in Virginia. Before it’s final landing however, NASA will fly over several of the tourist spots in Washington DC so everyone can see the spacecraft in the air one last time.
Mike is in the DC area… maybe he’ll catch a glimpse of it.
