WP7 Not Really Helping Nokia

WP7 Not Really Helping Nokia

Nokia posted their latest quarterly results earlier today. Unfortunately, the results showed a loss of $1.2 billion for Q1 of 2012. Everyone had high hopes for the new Microsoft/Nokia partnership, but so far, it does not look like something to be hopeful about. At the heart of this partnership is Microsoft’s latest and greatest mobile OS, Windows Phone 7 (WP7). Looking to the future, Microsoft is hinging their mobile footprint on Windows 8, which will run on both PCs and mobile devices. Nokia is rumored to be producing Windows 8 tablets which will be available later this year. Hopefully Windows 8 will work out better for Nokia than WP7. icon sad WP7 Not Really Helping Nokia
