Windows XP Still Outranks Windows 8 & 8.1… Combined

Despite a lot of resistance, Microsoft killed Windows XP in April. Though Windows 8 and 8.1 have been gaining market share, they’ve still failed to get a stronghold amongst the population. Now, recent statistics are showing Windows XP still accounts for 25.31% of the PCs on the Internet. These same figures show Windows 7 with a commanding 50.55%. However, what’s ironic is these numbers show Windows 8 and 8.1 together only hold 12.54%. In other words, 2001’s sunsetted operating system is still twice as popular as the current OS. Woah! This is bad news for Microsoft.
