Red Hat Changes Focus From Linux To The Cloud

Open Source giant Red Hat was recently in the news with their acquisition of FeedHenry. However, the company made a big announcement earlier today that stunned many IT professionals. The firm’s CEO Jim Whitehurst indicated Red Hat will be shifting their focus in the coming years. The company will concentrate less on Linux as a client/server OS, and put their efforts into the cloud computing arena and the OpenStack platform. Is “the cloud” the future of Red Hat?
