Celebs Want To Sue Google For Leaked Nude Pics

In late August, anĀ alleged iCloud hack resulted in dozens of nude celebrity pics being leaked to the Internet. Shortly after the news broke, a social media storm ensued and the celebrities (including Jennifer Lawrence, Kate Upton, Lea Michelle and many more) reacted with heavy pressure to have the photos removed. Many controversies followed, but the majority of the sites eventually relinquished the photos to avoid legal action.

Now the affected celebrities are threatening to sue Google in the amount of $100,000,000 for failing to “act expeditiously and responsibly” to remove the stolen images. Really??? What ever happened to being smart on the Internet? Does it really surprise anyone that things stored in “the cloud” can be stolen? Granted the act of stealing private property is always wrong, but c’mon… how is any of this Google’s fault?
