18 Year Old Windows Vulnerability Finally Patched

A security researcher at IBM recently discovered a flaw in Microsoft Windows that dates back to Windows 95. The vulnerability is approximately 18 years old and affect all version of Windows manufactured since then. It is tied to Internet Explorer’s VBscript capabilities and as of today, Microsoft has finally issued a patch. Whew! Better late than never! Just to clarify though, these patches only affect supported versions of the operating system. Windows XP and earlier will have to live with this vulnerability forever. I guess that’s just one more reason to upgrade. icon wink 18 Year Old Windows Vulnerability Finally Patched
