Huawei & LG Unveil New Smartwatches

Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2015 is underway in Barcelona, Spain. All the major players release new handsets and wearable devices at this event. As MWC kicked off, both Huawei and LG announced new smartwatch offerings powered by Google’s Android Wear OS. TheĀ Huawei Watch (shown above) is designed to look like a traditional timepiece complete with analog dials. Huawei also released the TalkBand B2 which is similar to the Microsoft Band. Huawei did not reveal a price for the former smartwatch, but the latter will sell for $189. Both are expected to arrive later this year. Not to be left out, LG also released an Android-powered wearable called the Urbane. Similar to the Huawei Watch, this device is modeled after a traditional wristwatch and marketed at an upscale crowd. LG was quiet about the price, but this watch appears to be fully featured, similar to the much anticipated Apple Watch.
