EU Accuses Google Of Antitrust

In the age of smartphones and social media, we constantly see lawsuits and antitrust charges. In the most recent case, the European Union (EU) has filed antitrust charges against US-based Google. The EU claims the firm is “abusing its dominance in web searches to the detriment of competitors.” In other words, their search engines are too powerful. Additionally, the EU claims Google’s Android operating system favors its own products and services making an unfair marketplace for competitors.
