Microsoft Unveils Edge Browser

Earlier this month, there was a big buzz around Microsoft sunsetting the Internet Explorer (IE) browser and replacing it with a new browser, codenamed Spartan. At today’s BUILD conference, Microsoft revealed more details about the Spartan browser, including it’s actual name, Edge. In addition to being faster and more reliable, Edge will support extensions. In fact, the extensions will be very similar to those used by the Chrome browser. With a rumored freemium model for Windows 10, and a redesigned browser, ts very clear that things are changing at Microsoft.
