Are The NSA & GCHQ Hacking Anti-Virus Software?

We all remember the Edward Snowden fiasco back in 2013. Just when you thought the worst was behind us, another tidbit has reared it’s ugly head. Evidently the NSA and GCHQ (the UK’s NSA equivalent) have been reverse engineering anti-virus programs like Eset, AVG, FSecure, and Kaspersky) Reportedly, McAfee and Symantec were not on the list of attempted hacks. It’s interesting to note that those two are US-based and the others companies are located outside the US. It just makes you wonder who you can trust when even the security software vendors have been compromised.
