Amazon Unveils Alexa Developers Kit

Amazon introduced Echo late last year. The tiny home assistant is like a having an Internet-connected robot in your living room. This week, Amazon announced Alexa, the voice recognition technology behind Echo, will be available to 3rd party developers. So what does this mean? It means you could add voice services to a connected alarm clock to have a custom snooze feature. For instance, imagine the alarm goes off and you just say “5 more minutes please” to create a 5 minutes snooze. The idea certainly has merit.
