Windows 10 Phones May Include Iris Scanners

As the IT industry awaits the release of Windows 10 later this month, more rumors are surfacing about various hidden features. Earlier this month, we heard rumblings about Windows installing updates without prompting. Most people are not fond of this “feature.” However, earlier this year, Microsoft touted a new biometric login service called Windows Hello. This one looks pretty cool.

Recently, the rumor mills are indicating the first Windows 10 based phones will support Windows Hello by including iris scanners. While Microsoft announced plans to integrate Windows Hello into desktop versions of the operating system, this is the first we’ve heard of it being used on a mobile platform. Just imagine being able to unlock your phone by looking at it… its like facial recognition on steroids.
