LogMeIn Acquires LastPass for $110 Million

Remote access firm LogMeIn recently acquired the password management software company LastPass in a $110,000,000 deal. While LogMeIn’s primary offering deals with remotely accessing PCs, LastPass allows users to store all their passwords in the cloud. One can easily see why the former company would be interested in the latter, but certain analysts are predicting privacy concerns users of both products. In the short term, LogMeIn will continue to operate both companies independently.
