Windows 10 To Get Unified Message Service

With every update, Microsoft adds more features to Windows 10. The operating system is about to get another major update that will add a unified messaging service. So what does that mean? It means you can send and receive SMS text messages on your computer or tablet without having to dig your smartphone out of your pocket. This is similar to Apple’s iMessage that works on Mac OS X and iOS devices, but it is part of Microsoft’s unified ecosystem initiative, Windows Universal, that was revealed back in 2012. It even works with Cortana. So, users who have a Windows-powered phone, tablet, and PC can take full advantage of this new feature. Reportedly, Microsoft has plans to expand the service to Android and iOS devices in the future.
