Is Windows 10 Improving PC Hardware?

Windows 10 has a boat load of new features like Cortana, Windows Unviersal, and more. The operating system was released in July and has already become quite popular. Microsoft released new devices at a special event earlier this month including the first Microsoft-branded laptop PC, the Surface Book. They also updated their line of Lumia and Surface devices.

With Microsoft now making their own hardware, they can add new features and integration not previously available. Some analysts feel this has caused traditional PC manufacturers to rethink their strategies. Traditionally, brands like Dell, HP, Asus, and Lenovo just had to stay on par with each other. Now, their being forced to stay on par with the manufacturer of the OS, or so the theory goes. In other words, why would you buy a Dell or an HP tablet when Microsoft is offering a better product? It’s a valid question. Will Window s10 force manufacturers to improve their product… or is this a repeat of the Apple clone fiasco from the 1990s?
