Apple Watch Revenue Tops All Other Smartwatches

The Apple Watch was released at a special event last year. In April of this year, the company began taking pre-orders and the first units shipped on April 24. Since then, there have been few sales figures released. A lot of analysts have had opinions, but few actual metric has been made public. Until now. The numbers show that Apple has sold 7 million Apple Watches so far this year and will easily surpass 10 million by year’s end. When you compare this to a brand like FitBit, who sold 9 million devices in the same time frame, the numbers seem less than impressive. However, the Apple Watch starts at $349 where the FitBit product sells for $99. All in all, the figures show Apple dominates the smartwatch industry when it comes to revenue. In fact, nobody else is even close.
