Apple Open Sources Swift Programming Language

During WWDC 2014, Apple unveiled a new programming language called Swift. As the name implies, it is a quick and easy way to create mobile and desktop apps for Apple products. Swift combines elements of Cocoa, C, Objective-C, and C++. The language supports iOS, Watch OS, TV OS, and Mac OS X. However, Apple recently announced Swift is now an open source product and has added Ubuntu Linux support. Needless to say, this could be a good move for Apple.
