Windows 7 Usage Still Trumps Windows 10

Last month, Microsoft acknowledged the adoption rates of Windows 10 claiming 200 Million installs in just 5 months. While this sounds impressive, recent statistics from NetMarketshare are telling a slightly different story. The latest stats (shown above) indicate Windows 7 is the clear leader of the pack with of 55% of the OS market. Windows XP, which was sunset in 2014, holds to a whopping 10.93%, just edging out Windows 8.1 with 10.3%. That puts Windows 10 in 4th place with a 9.96% stake. 200,000,000 installs sounds impressive until you look at the rest of the landscape.
