Intel Acquires Replay Technologies, A 360 Video Firm

Chip maker Intel just acquired the Israeli firm Replay Technologies. The company specializes in 360 sports videos reminiscent of the “bullet time” camera angles in The Matrix. Replay Technologies calls th freeD video. With the current popularity of VR headsets and software, this could be a good move for Intel. Supposedly, 3-D sports broadcasting may be coming in the near future.
