FBI Cracks Seized iPhone Without Apple’s Help

For the last couple months, the ongoing battle between Apple and the FBI has made headlines. As the feds put more pressure on Apple to circumvent the phone’s security, Apple refused causing tempers to flare on both sides. Last week, the FBI stated they no longer needed Apple’s help and earlier this week, they announced they were able to gain access to the locked handset. Needless to say, this has Apple and many others asking “how did they do it?” So far, the FBI has been tight-lipped about the technique they used and the people/tools involved. Is this a win for national security or a loss for consumer privacy?
