LG Invests $1.75 Billion In Flexible OLED Screens

LG is one of the world’s largest manufacturers of display screens. The Korea-based company just announced they’ll be allocating a large sum of money to flexible OLED production over the next years. To be more precise, LG is investing $1.75 Billion in flexible screen production between now and mid-2018. The majority of this inventory will likely go to smartphones and tablet manufacturers, with a smaller portion being allocated for TVs and other devices. LG feels flexible OLED displays will become extremely popular for mobile devices. Coincidentally, LG manufactures the current screens used in Apple handsets. Will future iPhones feature flexible OLED technology?
