As Microsoft is rolling out the Anniversary Update of Windows 10 and trying hard to everyone to upgrade, it’s becoming clear businesses have a different idea. A recent Softchoice study shows over 99% of business desktops have not been upgraded to Windows 10. The statistics, gathered during the first half of 2016, encompassed 169 companies and over 400,000 PCs. The data indicates 91% of the machines are still running 2009’s Windows 7 operating system, and only 4% have upgraded to Windows 8. Amazingly, 5% are still running Windows XP, which was sunset in 2014. Less than 1% of the machines surveyed were found to be upgraded to Windows 10.
