SpaceX May Launch 4425 Internet Satellites

SpaceX has a plan to bring high speed Internet to the entire world. The plan involves putting over 4000 satellites into orbit. The firm recently asked the FCC for permission and they have a 3 phase plan to deploy the communications devices. The first phase would send approximately 800 spacecraft into orbit. By the time the third phase completes, SpaceX hopes to have 4425 of them orbiting the planet. Interestingly enough, the satellites would be 700-800 miles from the Earth’s surface which is nearly three times as far as ISS. This web of communications devices could bring high speed Internet to the entire planet.
