Alexa Can Now Order Take Out Meals

Amazon’s Alexa software framework has been learning a lot of new skills. A skill is Amazon’s term for a function that provides third-party integration with their Echo line of products. The company unveiled the developer framework in 2015 and since then Alexa has learned to open doors along with other things. Now they’ve added the ability to order take out food from participating restaurants. Just say “Alexa order hamburgers from Amazon restaurant” (or whatever you’re in the mood for) and the Echo will do the rest. Currently the service is only available in 20 cities, but more will be added in the future.
