AMD Aims To Upset Intel In The PC Market

Intel has been dominating the desktop/laptop market with their Core i5 and Core i7 processors. The tiny chips are extremely powerful, relatively inexpensive, and power efficient. AMD has been struggling to keep up but they just released the Ryzen 5 series which could be a game changer. With clock speeds up to 4 GHz, these chips actually out spec the Intel models but have a similar price tag. AMD hopes to interrupt Intel’s reign in the PC market. Will we see an AMD powered MacBook or iMac someday? Who knows?
