HDMI 2.1 Standard Released

The HDMI Forum just released the 2.1 standard. This is the specifications to which HDMI cables are built. In short, the new standard uses the same plug but allows bandwidth that support resolution up to 10K. However, this standard assume the devices will be able to support such definition as currently there are not many that even support 4K. Like all previous versions of HDMI, this one will be backwards compatible with existing TVs, set-top boxes, DVD players, and other devices.
