Apple Sued For “Slowing Down” Older Phones

Apple is headed to court again. The iPhone maker has been accused of slowing down older smartphone models to compensate for poor battery life. Reportedly the company pushed an update which throttled the processor on some models to make the battery last longer. “Rather than curing the battery defect by providing a free battery replacement for all affected iPhones, Apple sought to mask the battery defect,” says the formal complaint. Will these allegations hold up in court?
