YouTube Red Is Breaking In Two… Literally

In early 2016, YouTube Red arrived. The $9.99/month offereing was intended to be a competitor for Netflix. It also ended up being a competitor to Spotify. However, after two years, the content provider has decided to break the service into two offerings, YouTube Music & YouTube Premium. The former focuses on music and can be had for free with ads, or $9.99 per month without ads. The latter is only available as a paid service with a price tag of $11.99 monthly. However, existing YouTube Red subscribers will get the new functionality without the additional $2 per month.
