Social network and media sharing site Tumblr recently announced plans to restrict content on their platform. The site has released new user guidelines essentially blocking adult content. The restrictions go into effect on December 17. While some see this as a positive step, others see it as a misguided policy or an attempt to censor the public. There are also questions about the AI the company uses to detect non-compliant content. This even seems to originate from Apple’s recent move to block the app from their store.
