Get A Close View Of The Christmas Comet This Year

The comet known as 46P/Wirtanen passed very close to Earth last night. In fact, this is the closest it’s been for centuries and also the closest it will be for a long time. Because 46P/Wirtanen typically comes in late December, some have dubbed it the Christmas Comet. While it is closer than previous years, its still hard to spot with the naked eye. If you’re interested in getting a peak, check out the charts here. It should be visible for the next several days.
