Total Lunar Eclipse Coming January 21

As we say goodbye to 2018 and welcome 2019, we have some celestial goodies in the night sky. First of all the Quadrantid meteor show is about to begin. The meteors will be visible December 28 through January 12 with the peak happening around January 3. Additionally, there will be a supermoon lunar eclipse coming in January. The total eclipse will begin around 10:30 PM EST on Sunday January 20 and continue for just over 3 hours ending around 1:50 AM EST Monday. Be sure to catch this rare event with your telescope.
