Study: Most Android Apps Share Data With Facebook

Facebook had a rough year in 2018. After the Cambridge Analytica scandal, many celebs got behind the Delete Facebook movement. Facebook later confirmed they share data with China making any semblance of privacy vaporize into this air. Then, to top the year off, the company announced they put almost 7 Million photos at risk.

The new year doesn’t seem to be bringing better news either. A recent investigation reveals over 60% of Android apps share data with Facebook. What’s more, you don’t have to be logged into Facebook, you don’t even need an account. The study found that much of this data was indeed sensitive data and the user wasn’t prompted before it was uploaded.
