Scientists Pay You $18,522 To Stay In Bed For 60 Days

Yes, that’s a rather weird headline on a Monday morning, but this experiment is just too odd to ignore. In an effort to better understand the effects of weightless on human, an experiment funded by NASA and the ESA is paying 24 people to stay in bed.

Participants will be paid $18,522 to spend 60 consecutive days in bed. Each participant will have a private room with a bed at a 6 degree, head downward, incline. They’ll do everything; bathing, eating, getting dressed to using the restroom, in their bed for 60 days. The study hopes to gain new data about the long term effects of weightlessness.
