NASA: The Moon Is Shrinking

According to NASA, the moon is shrinking. Additionally, they think moonquakes may be increasing. The study analyzed data from the Apollo missions, circa 1969-1977, and found a number of moonquakes took place during that time. They compared this data to more modern research and found the moon’s diameter has shrunk over 160 feet since the 1970s. So what does all this mean for the longevity of the moon? Scientists are not sure, but it appears to be shrinking and shaking.
