The annual Black Hat security conference took place in Las Vegas last week. During the course of the event , iPhones were a hot topic. Google’s Project Zero team revealed a string of flaws in iOS making it possible for an attacker to compromise user data. Apple’s Ivan Krstic even gave a talk about iPhone security during the conference. As a result, Apple has expanded their bug bounty program with special hacker-friendly iPhones and new rewards for proof of concept. Unfortunately, the special iPhones will only be available to a handful of labs and they’ll have to sign a contract to get one. However, Apple is now including MacOS, TVOS, WatchOS in the program.
