FCC Ready To Approve Sprint & T-Mobile Merger

According to the news media, the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) plans to approve the merger between T-Mobile and AT&T at their next voting session. However, Democratic lawmakers are urging the FCC to open the matter for public comment.

The two cellular providers agreed to terms back in May of 2018. Since then, the merger has received much scrutiny, but after 15 months, the FCC has decided not to block the proposed partnership. Regardless of the FCC’s vote, there is a multi-state lawsuit pending and it will go to trail in December.
