Messenger Now Requires A Facebook Profile

Facebook Messenger is the 2nd most popular app of the decade. Since 2015, the app has allowed users an option to use it without having a Facebook account. However, that era just ended. Going forward, all users will need a Facebook profile in order to use Messenger. Needless to say, this move is drawing criticism from privacy advocates. It’s expected in the wake of Facebook’s recent data breach, but shouldn’t the concerns be with Facebook in general?
