Israel Tracking Mobile Phones Of Coronavirus Victims

It seems like we can’t get away from coronavirus news these days. Everything seems to involve the pandemic in some way. Today, we’re seeing an interesting mash up of technology and privacy when it comes to dealing with the spread of the virus. Israel announced plans to look at mobile phone records of those who test positive for coronavirus. They’re also looking at the records of those suspected of infection. The Israeli government says the data can show where that person went and who else they possibly infected. However, privacy advocates are claiming the government should not have access to that data without the user’s consent. Should they have access to this data?
