EU Asks Netflix To Limit HD Streaming

The coronavirus has been wreaking havoc on the Tech industry for over a week now. In one of the most creative moves we’ve heard so far, the EU recently asked Netflix to limit HD streaming during the crisis. With so many people quarantined to their homes, Netflix viewing rates are sky high and consequently, so is bandwidth consumption. The EU is concerned all this streaming may “break the Internet” and is therefore asking citizens to binge watch in standard definition instead of HD. There’s even a hashtag, #SwitchToStandard, to go along with the effort.
