Lyrid Meteor Shower Peaks Tonight

Lyrid Meteor Shower Peaks Tonight

If you’re tired of staring at the same four walls, step outside tonight and catch a glimpse of the Lyrid meteor shower. The celestial event should hit its peak – about 20 meteors per hour – tonight or early tomorrow. The best views will happen around 2 AM EDT and it should be visible throughout most of the Northern hemisphere. What’s more… with the new moon happening this week, viewing conditions are optimal. So get outside the house for a few minutes and look upwards.
