Earlier this month, Microsoft released a preview of Azure Quantum. It is a cloud-based service that allows enterprises or institutions to experiment with quantum computing without investing in hardware. This week, Toyota announced they’ll be using the service to analyze traffic jams and optimize routes. According to the program manager Julie Love, pictured above, Microsoft is only offering the service to selected customers at this time. If the pilot goes well, Microsoft may offer it to all Azure subscribers in the future.
