Geek Of The Week: Emory Harris

If you’re a Star Wars fan, there’s a good chance you’ve got a lightsaber replica somewhere in your collection. And if you’re a fan of lightsaber collecting, you’ve probably heard of Ultrasabers, a popular sabersmith based in Texas. This week’s geek is the owner of Ultrasabers, Emory Harris.

Harris grew up in Ohio and graduated from Ohio State University. Like so many other geeks, he had an interest in video games, comic books, anime, and of course… Star Wars. Harris decided to create a company that makes duel-grade lightsaber replicas for fans. Today, Ultrasabers is one of the most popular custom saber manufacturers in the world.

If you’re wondering if there’s any money to be made by selling lightsabers… there most certainly is. Harris recently bought a new Ferrari. Wild. For making so many geek’s dreams come true along the way, we proudly declare him this week’s GOTW.
