AT&T Offers Crunchyroll To Sony

Reportedly, AT&T recently offered to sell Crunchyroll to Sony for $1.5 Billion. If you’re a fan of anime, you probably know Crunchroll. If not, this may be the first time you’ve heard of it. Crunchyroll is a streaming service, owned by AT&T, that focuses on anime content. The service currently has about 3 Million subscribers, bringing the net of deal to a rate of approximately $500/subscriber. Allegedly, Sony did not like this price stating it should be valued around $400/subscriber, or $1.2 Billion. There’s no word yet on an counter offer.
