An Asteroid May Collide With Earth In November

Well, to top off the bad luck streak that has become 2020… there’s now an asteroid headed towards Earth. Dubbed 2018VP1, the space rock is estimated to be about 7′ in diameter, so it’s small in space terms. It’s also expected to miss our planet completely, but there is a 1/240 (or 0.41%) chance of collision. Even so, with the small size, it’s unlikely this asteroid would do any damage. So here’s why this is making the news… the expected date of potential impact is November 2nd, the day before the US presidential election. Some people are saying it’s an omen.
