Windows Update Causes BSOD On ThinkPads

Since Windows 10 arrived, there have been a number of faulty updates which have caused users a sea of frustrations. By and large, Microsoft fixes them is a timely matter, but this had led to a behavior of users skipping updates. Some Lenovo ThinkPad owners are regretting installing the August 2020 cumulative update as reports of blue screens are rolling in. Reportedly, ThinkPads made in 2019 and 2020 are displaying the infamous BSOD (blue screen of death) after update due to an conflict with the BIOS used on these laptops. Lenovo has published a temporary workaround which involves booting into BIOS and disabling Enhanced Windows Biometric Security. Regardless, its making life difficult for everyday folks. That seems to be a pattern these past few years.
