An upcoming update to Windows 10 will make the clipboard a lot more functional. Earlier this summer, we hinted that a copy/paste revamp was coming and it appears Microsoft is ready to roll out more changes. Users of Microsoft Azure platform have probably seen the Cloud Clipboard. It allows you to copy something to the clipboard on one Windows 10 machine, and then paste it on another. Essentially, it allows multiple Windows 10 devices to share a single clipboard as long as they’re all logged into the same Azure account.
It appears Microsoft is on the verge of extending this functionality to Android devices via their SwiftKey app. So, a user can copy a link to the keyboard on their phone and then open it on their PC later. An upcoming Windows Update will reportedly deliver this functionality. There is no word about when or if this functionality is coming to MacOS or iOS devices, but many analysts suspect it is likely.
