What To Expect From Black Friday 2020?

The biggest shopping day of the year is rapidly approaching. Exactly one month from today, Black Friday 2020 will take place on November 27th. What has traditionally been an in-person event has shifted gradually toward an online event in the last decade or so. Due to coronavirus lockdowns in many states, this year is predicted to be almost entirely online. Amazon Prime Day took place earlier this month and experts are using those trends to predict what will happen next month.

According to data gathered during Prime Day, the hottest items were smart TVs and Instant Pots. Expect these to be hot items on Black Friday as well. Also, expect Black Friday to start early this year. Several retailers have already posted deals and many start before November 27th. Headphones, particularly wireless ones, are expected to be a hot item this year. There will likely be no discounts on the Nintendo Switch console but gaming accessories may go on sale. Also, look for bundles. That’s where the biggest savings will occur. For instance, during Prime Day Amazon sold an Echo Snow bundled with a Blink camera for $70. The Echo Snow costs nearly double that by itself.

Additionally, expect items to sell out quicker than previous years. With more people shopping online, the limited stock items will sell out quickly. It sounds like the mantra for Black Friday 2020 is “shop early.”
