Apple Schedules November 10th Event

Apple just sent out a press invite for a special event that will take place on November 10th. The event, titled One More Thing, is largely believed to be the release of the first ARM-powered Macbooks. Announced at WWDC earlier this year, Apple has plans to transition all Mac desktops and laptops from Intel to the new ARM-based Apple Silicon chips by 2022. CEO Tim Cook also promised the first Macs to be powered by Apple Silicon would arrive in late-2020. Being that the end of the year is rapidly approaching, all signs point to ARM Macs being released next week. Add to that a leak from earlier this year which claimed an ARM-powered 13″ Macbook Pro would arrive before the holiday shopping season… and we’ll likely see new Macbooks next week. Other rumors predict MacOS version 11, or Big Sur, will arrive alongside the new Macbooks.
